Project Details
Blue Lagoon Waterpark located at Bluestone National Park in Wales is an indoor and outdoor waterpark. They have several slides to choose from and also a lazy river.
They wanted to improve the water slide safety by installing a camera at the bottom of the slide, and a waterproof monitor at the entrance. This was to view when people have exited the slide. They came to us looking for a solution that would fit their criteria. They needed something waterproof and with good resolution so the lifeguards on duty could clearly see the feed from the camera.
We thought our ‘RuggedVision S19-HBAF’ would work great in this project. This is an IP66 lcd monitor with anti-fogging glass and also a high-bright panel. We suggested using anti-fogging glass because the indoor waterpark is humid and a plume of condensation would appear on the other side of the glass. The panel was also high-bright so the lifeguards could easily see the display when it was sunny.
After Blue Lagoon installed the monitor they were very happy with the performance and also overall build quality. Our monitor worked great in their application and also suited their budget.
