Lotus F1 Team use our Sunlight Readable LCD Monitors for Pitwall Telemetry.
It’s now officially 2017 Formula One racing season! So we thought it was right to talk about when we worked with Lotus Formula One to provide large format high resolution sunlight readable LCD monitors for the Pit wall.
Originally operating under the name of ‘Renault’ the company has been associated with Formula One since 1977 – renamed to ‘Lotus F1’ team in 2012. The team currently operates from Headquarters based in Enstone, Oxfordshire with a team of 500 highly-skilled personnel, working on the design and manufacturing of the vehicle chassis. In its capacity as an engine supplier the company has successfully achieved over 160 wins – ranking 3rd in Formula One world history!
When we worked with Renault F1 they needed:
- Sunlight readable displays to be integrated within a mobile put wall type solution for displaying telemetry information during Formula One racing events.
- Having a display bright enough to be viewed in all light conditions was critical, to ensure the team technicians were always able to clearly view the information displayed.
We provided to them:
- Multiple 9 x 24” Transflective sunlight readable monitors featuring a 1920×1200 resolution, protective glass front and multiple inputs including VGA, DVI & HDMI
- Life-time technical telephone support for RMA issues
