All Flatvisions LCD character & graphics modules come in TN, STN and FSTN fluid types, and are available in reflective, transflective and transmissive modes. The fluids that we offer come in normal temp 0-50c and wide temp -20 - 70c versions.  We also offer a wide range of back light types for our character modules, the main types being LED & EL.

LED Backlighting is the most popular as the LED chip arrays give a very effective long life time light source in a variety of different colours. Yellow LED's are the most common colour followed by white LED & blue LED. Other LED colours include red, amber and green.

EL or electroluminescent is a very low power form of lighting that naturally comes in white or blue illumination colours. However with EL backlighting you will need to drive the backlight from an inverter and this type of backlighting tends to have a very short active life time. Normally less than 8000hours.
